Covid-19 Government guidance in relation to managing a funeral was updated 9 July 2020 in line with the Health Protection Regulations 2020. The changes which apply to England include:
- Allowing both family and friends to attend a funeral.
- The number of people who can attend a funeral - this continues to be a modest number of close friends and family.
- Allowing mourners to stay overnight outside their home.
- The safe management of the funeral venue - mourners should always continue to follow the advice on social distancing (maintaining a distance of at least 2 metres) including when travelling to and from the funeral.
Whitchurch Town Council would like to inform that the number of mourners who can attend an interment has increased to a maximum number of 30 mourners.
